About Dr. Burke
Dr. Burke is a licensed clinical psychologist with a psychotherapy practice on the Upper West Side of Manhattan. She received her B.A. in Psychology from the University of Michigan in 1988 and her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from the New School for Social Research in 1997. She completed her internship at the Brooklyn V.A. Medical Center in 1997. Dr. Burke has also received training from the American Eating Disorders Center in New York.
In addition to her psychotherapy practice, Dr. Burke is an Assistant Professor of Clinical Psychology (in Psychiatry) at Columbia University Medical Center, where she works as a Research Scientist in the Molecular Imaging and Neuropathology Department. In that department, she is a Co-Investigator on numerous research studies involving mood disorders and suicidal behavior and is the Director of Training for diagnostic assessments.
Dr. Burke is also a psychotherapy supervisor for doctoral level psychology interns at Columbia University Medical Center. In addition, she serves as a peer reviewer for several psychiatric journals.
